PENDLETON TO THE CITY OF OCEAKSIDE, WHEREAS, the City of Oceanside has initiated action for the annexation of Camp Pendleton to the City, and WHEREAS, the City of Oceanside is the only city contiguous to the military installation which is authorized by law to annex this territory, and WHEREAS, Camp Pendleton impacts the City of Oceanside in terms of service demands, housing accommodation needs, and the use of public facilities, and WHEREAS, revenues derived by the City of Oceanside result- ing from the proposed annexation would be retained in the northerly part of San Diego County to provide safety and public services to the properties and persons from which the revenue is derived, and WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission is required to determine that the proposed annexation is a logical extension of the corporate limits of the City of Oceanside and to name the City as the conducting authority in order for the City to proceed with the annexation proposal; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad that the annexation of Camp Pendleton by the City of Oceanside is a justified proposal and recommends that the Local Agency Formation Commission authorize Oceanside to proceed with this annexation. /// /// 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 E 5 IC 11 12 12 14 1: 1t 1: 1E 1$ 2( 2: 2: 2: 21 2! 2( 2‘ 2t PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the 2nd day City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the of March , 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Council Mpsrbers Packard, Casler, Lewis and Kulchin NOES: cb-”l mer .hear ABSENT : None RONALD C.
