ITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING PROPERTY TAX
EXCHANGE RELATING TO JURISDICTIONAL CHANGES -
VISTA DEANNEXATION - RO 81-46
WHEREAS, Revenue and Taxation Code Section 99 requires the
negotiation of any exchange of property tax revenues occasioned by
jurisdictional changes between the areas affected; and
WHEREAS, under such circumstances the City Council is
authorized to negotiate such property tax revenue exchanges on
behalf of the city of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the attached jurisdictional change between the
city of Vista and the city of Carlsbad is proposed; and
WHEREAS, the city of Vista has negotiated with the city of
Zarlsbad to determine an equitable exchange of property tax revenue
applicable to such jurisdictional change and the Vista City Council
has adopted a resolution approving the negotiated tax exchange; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT IS RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the ju-
risdictional change shall result in the property tax exchanges showr
3n the attached Exhibit "B".
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the City Clerk of
the city of Carlsbad shall, on behalf of the city notify the County
auditor and the Local Agency Formation Commission of such negotiated
exchange of property tax revenues by forwarding to them a copy of
this resolution.
