RESOLUTION NO. 6838
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING PRINCIPLES
ENUMERATED IN THE CLEAN AIR ACT RESOLUTION
HR252 AND CALLING UPON THE UNITED STATES HOUSE
OF REPRESENTATIVES TO ADOPT THIS RESOLUTION
FORTHWITH.
WHEREAS, clean air is fundamentally important for the health
ind well-being of the citizens, economy, and environment of the
Jnited States, and
WHEREAS, the nation's existing Clean Air Act should be
naintained and strengthened subject only to such changes that
Jill improve its administration and effectiveness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Carlsbad
;upports the principles enumerated in the Clean Air Act
iesolution, H.Res. 252 (Vento-Lewis) and calls upon the United
states House of Representatives to adopt this resolution forth-
qith.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Zarlsbad, California, this 6th day of April, 1982, by the
following vote:
AYES: Council Merhers Packard, Casler, hear, Lewis and Kulchin
NOES: None
