RESOLUTION NO. 6854
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
MENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND THE
CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE
ERSON/BUENA VISTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS FOR A
COMMUNITY RECREATION PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT.
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING AN AGREE-
DEVELOPMENT, MAINTENANCE, AND USE OF JEFF-
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. The certain agreement between the City of Carlsbad and
the Carlsbad Unified School District for development, maintenance,
and use of Jefferson/Buena Vista Elementary Schools, approved by
Resolution No. 6718, is hereby amended by revising Page 2, Section

Page 3, Section 5 of that agreement to read:
a. Page 2, Section 1: The District shall provide
at no cost to the City for outdoor recreational
activities, access to and use of the multi-
purpose athletic fields at the Jefferson/Buena
Vista School sites on an after-schoo1,week-end,
holiday, and summer vacation basis. The school
will have exclusive use of the athletic fields
during the school year for 176 days from 8:OO
a.m. to 3:OO p.m. Restroom facilities shall be
provided when adequate supervision is available.
b. Page 3, Section 5: City shall be allowed to use site €or its recreational programs on week-ends,
holidays, after normal school hours, and during summer vacation. However, the District shall
have priority in the use of the sites or any
part thereof or any facility or equipment thereon
for District purposes if it notifies the City in
writing at least two weeks in advance of the
intended use of the site.
