RESOLUTION NO. 7170
A RESOLUTION OF TllE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIAy AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF $1,000 TO CARLSBAD COMMUNITY EDUCATION, INC., A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE MAILING OF A CITY NEWSLETTER AND A PARKS AND RECREATION BROCHURE
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize the formation of Carlsbad Community
:ducation, Inc. and,
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Community Education, Inc., has been formed for the
lurpose of distributing City newsletters and other informative material to the
:itizens of Carlsbad and,
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Community Education, Inc., will provide for the
listribution of one newsletter and one Parks and Recreation brochure before the
!nd of the 1982-83 fiscal year and,
WHEREAS, the City Council does wish to fund the operation of Carlsbad
iommunity Education, Inc., by contributing sufficient funds to the organization
;o finance all mailing related costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
:hat the sum of $1,000 shall be paid to Carlsbad Community Education, Inc.,
'rom the Central Services postage account, to fund operating costs for the
+emainder of 1982-83.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
:he City of Carlsbad held the 5th day of April , 1983, by the
'ollowing vote, to wit:
