RESOLUTION NO. 7243
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARZlSBAD, CALIFOHNIA, APPOINTING A CITY TREASURER.
WHEREAS, a vacancy in the Office of City Treasurer was mea- by
the death of City Treasurer Frank C. Rice on May 20, 1983; and
wHEI7;EAs, the term of office in which said vacancy was created ends
in November, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Section 36512 of the Gowmnent Code provides that the
vacancy may be filled by appointment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That WILLIAM C. ESTERLINE is hereby appointed to serve as
City Treasurer of the City of Carlsbad for the unexpired term, which will
expire in NaTember, 1986.
PASSID, APPKNED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, at an adjourned regular mting held on the 8th day
of June, 1983, by the following vote:
