HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-06-28; City Council; Resolution 72681 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 0 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 7268 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING INTERIM SALARY PLANS FOR THE CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1983-84. WHEREAS, the City Council, through its designated representatives, and representatives of the Carlsbad City Employees Association are engaged in the process of negotiations regarding salaries for miscellaneous employees for the 1983-84 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the City Council, through its designated representatives, and representatives of the Carlsbad Police Officers' Association are engaged in the process of negotiations regarding salaries for police employees for the 1983-84 fiscal year and have been negotiating since April 12, 1983; and WHEREAS, it is unlikely that the negotiations will be concluded before the start of said fiscal year, and it is desirable to continue negotiations past that date: and WHEREAS, it is necessary in order to adopt the operating budget to establish an interim salary plan; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1 . That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the compensation plan for miscellaneous employees for the 1982-83 fiscal year, as adopted by Resolution No. 6903, is hereby adopted as the interim salary plan for miscellaneous employees for the 1983-84 fiscal year. /// /// /// 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 2c 23 22 2: 24 2E 2E 27 2E 3. That the compensation plan for police employees for the 1982-83 fiscal year, as adopted by Resolution No. 6984, is hereby adopted as the interim salary plan for police employees for the 1983-84 fiscal year. 4. That a permanent salary plan for the 1983-84 fiscal year is unfixed and will not be determined until negotiations are concluded and, therefore, the permanent salary plans may be retroactive to the start of the fiscal year, provided, however, that for miscellaneous employees and police employees the salary plans may be retroactive only if negotiations are concluded on or before July 15, 1983. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, on the 28th day of June , 1983 by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: NOXI€?
