RESOLUTION NO. 7316
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING A LANDSCAPE
GUIDELINES MANUAL PURSUANT TO SECTION 11.06.025
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE AND INCORPORATING
THE PROVISIONS OF SAID MANUAL IN THE CITY'S
STANDARDS FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
PUBLIC WORKS IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
necessary to adopt a Landscape Guidelines Manual containing
provisions for plans, programs and standards for landscaping,
fire suppression and protection, open space easement
maintenance, erosion control, planting and irrigation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to incorporate
the provisions of this manual in Chapter 11.06 regarding
grading and to require developments approved pursuant to Chapter
20, Subdivision, and Chapter 21, Zoning, to comply with the
provisions of the manual: and
WHEREAS, the City Council also desires to supplement
the standards for design and construction of public works
improvements in the City as adopted by Resolution No. 6334 by
the addition of the provisions of the manual,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
th City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That pursuant to Section 11.06.025 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby
adopts and approves the Landscape Guidelines Manual on file with
the City Clerk and incorporated herein by reference.
3. The City's standards for the design and
construction of public works improvements in the City of
Carlsbad as adopted by Resolution No. 6334 shall include the
Landscape Guidelines Manual.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on
the 2nd day of AUWt , 1983, by the following vote,
to wit:
