RESOLUTION NO. 7325
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS
MEMBERS TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT REGARDING A
CITY MEASURE.
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election is to be held
City of Carlsbad, California, on November 8, 1983, at whic
there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said
the following measure:
Do the voters of the City of Carlsbad approve
spending $15.2 million dollars to build a Public
Safety and Service Center on City owned land? The
center will include police and fire headquarters,
shops and service yards, parking, offices, a
purchasing warehouse and fire station. Funds for the
project will come from $3.5 million in tax funds
previously set aside and the balance will come from
fees on new develoDments.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
the City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby declare, det
and order as follows:
Section 1. That the above recitations are true and
correct.
Section 2. That this City Council, being the legis1
body of the City of Carlsbad, hereby authorizes

Claude Lewis
Ann Kulchin
Richard Chick
Robert Prescott

members of said body, to file a written argument in favor of
City measure set forth in the recitals hereof in accordancl
Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of
State of California, and to change said argument until and
including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no
arguments for or against said City measure may be submittel
