OF Carlsbad SUPPORTING BOARD ACTION
TO RE-JOIN SANDAG AS A CONTRIBUTING MEMBER TO
A REGIONAL BUT VOLUNTARY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERN-
MENTS.
WHEREAS, SANDAG is a forum that is voluntary yet regional
in nature that contributes to the public discussion, debate and
development of solutions to local government problems that are
regional in nature: and
WHEREAS, SANDAG provides local governments with a variety
of technical services at reasonable costs that further enhances
the organization's value to the San Diego region; and
WHEREAS, the Coui?ty of San Diego is currently not a member
of SANDAG which degrades the organization's ability to truly
represent the entire San Diego region.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
hereby urges the San Diego County Carlsbad City of
Board of Supervisors to reconsider their membership status in
SANDAG .
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
adjourned of CaGlsbad at its/regular meeting held on the 22nd day
of November 1983, by the following roll call vote:
AYES : COTJNCILMEMBERS : Casler , Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Prescott
NOES : COUNCILMEMBERS : None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
