RESOLUTION NO. 7721
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, NAMING THE
VILLAGE FOUNTAIN AND DEDICATING IT TO
GLENN Mc COMAS
WHEREAS, the City Council did consider a proposal to name a
fountain "the Village Fountain" and dedicate said fountain to
Glenn McComas; and
WHEREAS, Glenn McComas has served the community faithfully
and conscientiously €or many years. That he has served as City
Councilman, Planning Commissioner and President of the Carlsbad
Chamber of Commerce among his many other voluntary civic duties.
WHEREAS, on August 21, 1984, the City Council reviewed this
recommendation and heard all persons interesed in or opposed to the
approval of this proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the fountain be named and dedicated as follows:
"The Village Fountain"
Dedicated to Glenn McComas
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Cit:
Zouncil of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of August, 1984,
oy the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Wnhrs Casler, Lewis, Kulchin and Prescott
NOES: None
ABSENT: &unci1 &?mkr Chick
