RESOLUTION NO. 7858
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE, GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNA-
TIONS OF THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN FROM PUBLIC UTILITIES
(U) TO A COMBINATION DISTRICT (G) OF GOVERNMENTAL
FACILI IES AND PROFESSIONAL AND RELATED COMMERCIAL ON
PROPER1 t Y GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
OLIVENHAIN ROAD, EAST AND WEST OF RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD.
APPLICANT: OLIVENHAIN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
CASE NO.: GPA/LU 84-13
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on October 24, 1981
hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to
consider an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plai
GPA/LU 84-13; and
WHEREAS, the Land Use Planning Manager and the Planning
Commission have determined that the amendment will not have any
significant impacts on the environment and a Negative Declaratioi
dated October 10, 1984, has been prepared, filed and approved by
the Planning Commission on October 24, 1984, in satisfaction of
the requirement? of the City of Carlsbad Environmental Protectioi
Ordinance of 1980 and the California Environmental Quality Act;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council did on December 18, 1984 hold
a duly advertised public hearing to consider said amendment and
at said time rekeived the recommendations, objections, protests
and comments of all interested persons desiring to be heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council after considering the proposec
change to the Land Use Element of the General Plan, directed the
City Attorney to return with appropriate documents to amend the
Land Use Element of the General Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
A. That the above recitations are true and correct.
B. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set
forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2371 (GPA/LU 84-13)
constitute the findings of the City Council.
C. That the Land Use Element of the General Plan is
amended as follows:
1. GPA/LU 84-13: Change the land use element
designation from Public Utilities (U) to a Combination District
(G) of Governmental Facilities and Professional and Related
Commercial on property generally located on the north side of
Olivenhain Road, East and West of Rancho Santa Fe Road as shown
on the map marked Exhibit X, dated October 24, 1984 attached
hereto and made a part hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of tht
Carlsbad City Council held on the 2nd day of January 1985
by the following vote, to wit:
