RESOLUTION NO. 7986
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, REJECTING BIDS, AND
AUTHORIZING PURCHASING AGENT TO PURCHASE SIGNS.
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad
for Project No. 3705, Village Sign Program, and
WHEREAS, only one bid was received which was over the
budgeted amount for the project, and
WHEREAS, it is within Federal Housing and Urban Development
(HUD) guidelines to purchase signs with allocated funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $17,606.32 by Spector Design, Inc. for Project
No. 3705 for Village Sign Program is hereby rejected and
the City Clerk is hereby authorized to release the bid bond.
3. The Purchasing Agent of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to purchase signs, in accordance with law, as defined in the Village Sign Program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the
16th day of April, 1985, by the following, to wit:
AYES : Council Ikntxrs Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine
NOES : None
ABSENT: COunCil MePnber Casler
