RESOLUTION NO. 8130
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO INVITE BIDS FOR REFURBISHING
TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AND GRAND AVENUE AND
3179 AND 3180.
AT EL CAMINO REAL AND CHESTNUT AVENUE - CONTRACT NOS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is
necessary and in the public interest to refurbish the traffic signals at
Carlsbad Boulevard and Grand Avenue and at El Camino Real and Chestnut Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the aforementioned refurbishment
of Projects 3179 and 3180 have been approved and are on file in the Engineer-
ing Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference
herein; and
WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated in FY 84-85 in the amount of
$2,500.00 for each project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows :
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The plans and specifications as presented are hereby approved.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized
and directed to proceed to publish, in accordance with law, notice to
contractors inviting bids for the refurbishment of traffic signals at Carlsbad
Boulevard and Grand Avenue, and at El Camino Real and Chestnut Avenue in
accordance with the plans and specifications hereinabove referred to.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on the 6th day of Aumst , 1985 by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: Council Menhers Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, and Chick
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council bkmber Pettine
