HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-09-24; City Council; Resolution 81921 2 3 4 5 6 7 e 9 1c XI 12 12 14 1: 1E 17 I€ 15 2c 21 22 22 24 2: 2t 27 2E RESOLUTION NO. 8192 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING TERMINATION OF EARTHQUAKE INSURANCE WHEREAS, it is the City's policy not to purchase earthquake insurance on City buildings except where required for outside financing; and WHEREAS, the only current City obligation requiring earthquake coverage is a limit of $200,000 on City Hall; and WHERAS, as a result of current high premium costs, the City now desires to self-insure this exposure. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to terminate current earthquake insurance effective October 1, 1985. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of September 7 1985, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Mgmbers Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine NOES: ABSENT : None ATTEST: R.
