A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE POLICE EMPLOYEES' SALARY PLAN OF THE

WHEREAS, representatives of management and the Carlsbad
Police Officers' Association conducted negotiations pursuant
to the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, regarding wages and other terms
and conditions of employment for the period May 15, 1984, through
March 23, 1986; and
WHEREAS, said representatives reached agreement and submitted
the Memorandum of Understanding to the City Council which was
approved; and
WHEREAS, the second year of the Memorandum of Understanding
required the completion of a salary survey in order to make
necessary salary adjustments, and that said survey has been
conducted accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the survey results have been identified in the
Police Department Salary Schedule, marked Exhibit A, and
incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, funds for this salary adjustment are available
in the city's contingency account;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Police Department Salary Schedule is hereby
accepted.
3. That the amount of $147,200 is hereby transferred from
the city's contingency account to the Police Department
salary budget.

Zarlsbad City Council held on the 15th day of October , 1985,
by the following vote to wit:
