RESOLUTION NO. 8397
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE REFUND OF !$7,939 TO THE STATE
OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES AND THE TMSFER OF FUNDS
FROM THE CONTINGENCY FUND.
WHEREAS, during 1980 the City received assistance in the amount
of $8,839 from the State Office of Emergency Services for storm damage
related claims; and
WHEREAS a subsequent audit of these claims indicated that insufficient
records exist to support $7,939 of these claims; and
WHEREAS, the State Controller's Office bas requested payment of
$7,939 to be made to reimburse the State Office of Emergency Services; and
WHEREAS, insufficient funds are available in the Street Department
budget to cover the cost of this refund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the refund of $7,939 to the State Office of Emergency
Services is hereby approved.
2. That the transfer of $7,939 from the City's Contingency
Account to the Streets Department budget is hereby approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad held the llthday of February , 1986, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
