RESOLUTION NO. 8540
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA OPPOSING H.R. 3838
"TAX REFORM ACT OF 1985".
WHEREAS, the passage of H.R. 3838 would severely limit
the use of Redevelopment Tax Allocation Bonds, and;
WHEREAS, restriction and/or elimination of the use of
Redevelopment tax allocation bonds would be detrimental to the
City's Redevelopment efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
(1) That the Carlsbad City Council is opposed to H.R. 3838
"Tax Reform Act of 1985".
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California held this 6th
day of May, 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine
