RESOLUTION NO. 8578
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING
AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE MANAGEMENT COMPEN-
SATION PLAN FOR THE POSITIONS OF FIRE
CHIEF, POLICE CAPTAIN AND POLICE LIEU-
TENANT.
WHEREAS, Council Policy Statement No.36 specifies that
general across the board salary increases granted to police
bargaining units shall be passed through to policy management
employees; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Police Officers Association received
a 3% salary increase effective March 24, 1986.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the biweekly salary range for Police Chief be
changed from $1,829 - $2,329 to $1,880 - $2,399, from $1,511 -
$1,929 to $1,556 - $1,987 for Police Captain and $1,313 - $1,676
to $1,352 - $1,726 for Police Lieutenant.
3. That the 3% salary increase granted to CPOA will be
passed-through to the Policy Chief, Police Captains and Police
Lieutenants retroactive to March 24, 1986.
4. That the Management Compensation Plan set forth in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part thereof, is adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 3rd day of June , 1986,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick and Pettine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
