RESOLUTION NO. 8755
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE APPLICATION AND
PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANT FUNDS
FOR CARRILLO RANCH PROJECT FROM THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND
RECREATION FACILITIES ACT OF 1984 AND APPOINTING THE
REDEVELOPMENT MANAGER AS AGENT.
WHEREAS, the Legislature under the California Park and
Recreational Act of 1984 has authorized the establishment of a
Historic Preservation Grant Program, providing matching funds to
the political subdivisions of the State for historic preservation
projects; and
WHEREAS, the California Office of Historic Preservation in
the Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the
administration of the program within the State, setting up
necessary rules and procedures governing application by local
agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the
Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certif]
by resolution the approval of applications and availability of
local matching funds prior to submission of said applications
to the State;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application for the Historic
Preservation assistance for project; and
2. Appoints the Redevelopment Manager or his/her authorized
deputy as agent of the City to coordinate, process, and execute
all contracts, agreements, amendments and ancillary documents
within the scope of the attached application; and

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
3. Agrees that all required local matching funds will be
provided for the project.
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California held on the19th
day of August , 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin and Pettine
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Chick
ABSTAIN : None
