RESOLUTION NO. 8777
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF PROJECT NO. 3225
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FARADAY AVENUE AND
EL CAMINO REAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad for the
construction of a traffic signal system at Faraday Avenue and El Camino
Real, Contract No. 3225; and
WHEREAS, the low bid received for the said traffic signal was
submitted by DBX Inc., in the amount of $67,000; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $40,000 are on deposit with the City
from an adjacent private developer to be utilized for this project;
WHEREAS, City funds have been budgeted and are available in Account
No. 330-840-1840-3225 for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. The bid of $67,000 by D. 8. X., Inc. for Contract No. 3225 for
the construction of the Faraday Avenue and El Camino Real traffic signal is
hereby accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute a contract thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
Council held on the 26th day of August , 1986 by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Lewis, Kulchin, Chick, and Pettine
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
