HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-12-22; City Council; Resolution 88751 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 10: l1 l2 l3 14 l5 l6 17 l8 RESOLUTION NO. 8875 Local Coastal Program (LCP) documents for that portion of the Carlsbad Coastal Zone specified in California Public Resources Code Section 30170(f) and 30171 (Mello Bills I and 11) from the California Coastal Commission; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has approved the certified LCP documents as amended in October, 1985; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has considered a modification to the designated land uses in the area known as Seapointe, depicted on Exhibit A dated June 30, 1986 and attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the proposed modifications to the LCP designated land uses are consistent with the provisions of Chapter 3 of the California Coastal Act; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the amendment and found i;s provisions to be acceptable for administration as City A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM (LCP) AMENDMENT LCPA 86-2 (SEAPOINTE) WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has received the certified 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined that the proposed LCP amendment will not have any significant adverse impacts on the environment within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act. WHEREAS, the City is prepared to adopt necessary resolutions and ordinances to enable the City to receive LCP "effective certification" pursuant to the LCP documents approved by the City; and ''11 policy; and 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 le 19 2c 21 22 22 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, the City intends and is prepared to issue Coastal Development Permits pursuant to the LCP documents when amended as established herein and implemented by City resolutions and ordinances; and WHEREAS, necessary public review of the proposed LCP amendment has been provided by the City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the City of Carlsbad is prepared to adopt by appropriate local resolutions and ordinances the Local Coastal Program Amendment which modifies the land use designations for that portion of the Coastal Zone specified in Exhibits B and C dated June 30, 1986 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 3. That subject to the approval of the California Coastal Commission the City of Carlsbad approves and is prepared to administer and carry out the requirements and provisions of the LCP as amended. 4.
