RESOLUTION OF THE: CITY COUlEIL ORDERING
"HE PREPARATION OF PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,
COST ESTIMATl3, DIAGFWI, ASSESSMENT AND REPOFTI'
PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF DIVISION 15,
PARI? 2 OF THE STREETS AND HIGEMiXYS CDDE OF
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FOR PROCEEDINGS FOR
ANNUAL ASSESSMENT LEVY AFTER FWMATION OF A
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
desires to initiate proceedings for the annual levy of assessments for a
street lighting district pursuant to the tem and provisions of the
"Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972," being Division 15, Part 2 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, in What is Icnm and
designated as

(hereinafter referred to as the "District"); and,
WHEREAS, the proceedings for the annual levy of assesments shall
relate to the fiscal year comncing July 1, 1987, and ending June 30, 1988:
and,
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to this City (3x"il for its
consideration at this time, a nap shming the boundaries of the area affected
by the levy of the assessment for the above referenced fiscal year, and the
territory propsed to be annexed, said mp further shming and describing in
general the mrks of hprovement propsed to to be mintained in said
District, said description being sufficient to identify the mrks of
improvement and the areas propsed to be assessed for said mintenance
thereof; and,
WHERE?S, the provisions of said Division 15, Part 2 require a
written "Report, 'I consisting of the following:
1. Plans and specifications of the area of the mrks of
improvement to ke mintained;
2. An estimate of the costs for rraintaining the improvements for
the above referenced fiscal year:
3. Adiagram of the area propsed to be assessed:
4. An assessment of the estimated costs for mintenance wrk for
said fiscal year.

SMTTION 1. That the above recitals are all true and correct.

Clerk and open to public inspection.

SECTION 3. That the proposed maintenance mrk within the area
proposed to be assessed shall be for certain street lighting improvements, as
said mintenance mrk is set forth in the T&q"" to be presented to this
City Cbuncil for consideration.
SECTION 4. That Virginia McCoy, Electrical *rations Supervisor,
is hereby ordered to prepare and file with this City Council, a "Report"
relating to said annual assessnent and levy in accordance with the provisions
of Article IV,
Highways Code of the State of Qlifornia.
co"cing with Section 22565 of Chapter 1 of the Streets and
SMTTION 5. That upon cortpletion, said "Reprt" shall be filed with
the City Clerk, who shall then submit the same to this City Council for its
consideration pursuant to Sections 22623 and 22624 of said Streets and
Highways Code.
