HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-06-23; City Council; Resolution 9137RESOLUTION NO. 9137 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING INTERIM SALARY PLANS FOR THE CITY FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-1988. WHEREAS, the City Council, through its designated represen- tatives, and representatives of the Carlsbad City Employees' Association are engaged in the process of negotiations regarding salaries for miscellaneous employees for the 1987-88 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the City Council, through its designated represen- tatives, and representatives of the Carlsbad Firefighters' Association are engaged in the process of negotiations regarding salaries for fire employees for the 1987-88 fiscal year; and WHEREAS, negotiations may not be concluded before the start of said fiscal year, and negotiations may continue past that date; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt an interim salary plan for the 1987-88 fiscal year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the compensation plan for fire employees for the 1987-88 fiscal year, as adopted by Resolution No. 7610, is hereby adopted as the interim salary plan for fire employees for the 1987-88 fiscal year. 4. That a permanent salary plan for the 1987-88 fiscal year is unfixed and will not be determined until negotiations are concluded and, therefore, the permanent salary plans may be retroactive to the start of the fiscal year. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, on the 23rd day of June , 1987, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: None Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson ATTEST: ALETHA L.
