RESOLUTION NO. 9151
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A 1987 POPS CONCERT, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF FUNDS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS , the City's Arts Program provides cultural opportunities for
Carlsbad residents; and
WHEREAS, the Arts Commission recommends a Pops Concert again be held
at the Carlsbad Research Center; and
WHEREAS, Hoehn Motors, Inc. is donating $15,000 to provide partial
financial support for a Pops Concert; and
WHEREAS, additional funding is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California as follows :
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The city will sponsor a 1987 Pops Concert.
3. The donation in the amount of $15,000 to the City of Carlsbad from
William Hoehn from Hoehn Motors, Inc. for the Cultural Arts Program in support
of the Pops Concert is hereby accepted.
4. That $4800 is appropriated from the contingency account to various
accounts as shown in Fund Transfer No. B454 on file in the Finance Department
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council held on the 14th day of July 1987, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
