RESOLUTION NO. 9153
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CHANGE
ORDER NO. 5 FOR THE CALAVERA HILLS COMMUNITY
PARK,-PHASE I,-PROJEET-NO.-3173
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
Lifornia, has determined it is necessary and in the public
interest to construct Calavera Hills Community Park; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to include additional items
within the scope of the above construction project; and
WHEREAS, a current appropriation in the amount of
$1,656,767 exists for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council approves the execution and
authorizes the Mayor to sign a change order in the amount of
$59,784.16 to the project contractor, William J. Kirchnavy
Construction, Inc., for telephone conduit, additional perimeter
fencing, and playground play equipment.
3. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, authorizes an increase in Purchase Order No. 3143
to William J. Kirchnavy Construction, Inc., by an additional
$59,784.16.
4. That the City Council further authorizes an increase
in Purchase Order No. 3084 to Leighton and Associates, Inc., by

an additional $10,500.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the -u 14th day of July -’
1987 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
