RESOLUTION NO. 9268
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF Tm CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROPRIATING FmS lF6R
AN ARTWORK AT THE SENIOR CENTER
WHEREAS, Chapter 2.18 of the Carlsbad Municipal eade
governs the Carlsbad Arts Commission and establishes the civic
Arts Fund for public art; and
WHEREAS, expenditures from the Civic Arts Fund require
City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the Arts Commission recommends that an artwork
be placed at the Senior Center, and
WHEREAS, the Arts Commission advises a maximum Cost Of
$30,000 should be appropriated to fund this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Cebuncrlii Of
the City of Carlsbad, California, authorizes expenditures fraM the
Civic Arts Fund in the following amount:
1. An amount of $30,000 for the placing of an artwork
at the Senior Center and related administrative expenses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, that the amount of
$30,000 is hereby appropriated from the unreserved fund balance of
the Civic Arts Fund to Account No. 142-840-4210-2495.
