RESOLUTION NO. 88-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SUPPORTING THE STATE
OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME'S
SITING OF AN OFFSHORE ARTIFICIAL REEF ALONG
THE CARLSBAD COASTLINE
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of F
Game, has undertaken an ongoing program to facilitate nea
marine habitat enhancement through the placement of c
artificial reefs along the California coastline; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of F
Game, has constructed, at State expense, several c
artificial reefs to date; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of F
Game, and the City of Carlsbad have undertaken prel
discussions concerning the siting of an offshore artifici
along the Carlsbad coastline; and
WHEREAS, the mutual interests of both the St
California, Department of Fish and Game, and the (
Carlsbad to protect and promote marine habitat alc
California coastline can be furthered by continued
investigation, and potential placement of an offshore art
reef along the Carlsbad coastline; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad is in complete support
work of the State of California, Department of Fish and C
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, hereby offers its support to the St
