RESOLUTION NO. 88-85
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO AND THE CITY OF CARLSBAD TO ENABLE THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO REIMBURSE THE CITY OF CARLSBAD A PORTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION COSTS FOR MINOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AND A TRAFFIC CONTROL
SIGNAL SYSTEM AT RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD AND MELROSE
DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carl sbad has dete
necessary and in the public interest to improve the intersection t
Drive and Rancho Santa Fe Road by construction of a traffic conti
system and minor road improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has authorized the design of sa.
control signal system and minor road improvement for said intersectil
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego has indicated a will ingness to
the City of Carlsbad $47,000 towards the costs of said improvements
WHEREAS, the County of San Diego has indicated a willingness to
the City of Carlsbad for one-third of the total costs for maintc
operation of said traffic control signal system and safety ligh
monthly basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT . RESOLVED by the City Council of th
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council of the City of Carl sbad authorize
Clerk to sign the agreement between the County of San Diego a1
Carlsbad for purposes specified in this resolution.
