A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBA: CALIFORNIA, FORMALLY REQUESTING THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
CONDITIONS OF TWO (2) CITY-OWNED BRIDGES OVER SAN MARC0
CREEK (BATIQUITOS LAGOON) AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PREP APPLICATIONS FOR FEDERAL HIGHWAY BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND REHABILITATION (HBRR) PROGRAM FUNDING FOR THE REMOVAL A

investigative and feasibility studies to evaluate the con

(Batiquitos Lagoon) within the City of Carlsbad.
3. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
formally requests CALTRANS add the replacement of these
to the next available appropriate federal and state bu
cycles consistent with the intended replacement of
structures and this Resolution.
4. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
formally requests CALTRANS initiate the FHWA HBRR
process for the' replacement of these bridges.
5. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad
authorizes and directs City staff to prepare and t
necessary applications and related correspondence and e

authorizes and directs City staff to explore the poten,
coordination of this project with representatives of the
Los Angeles with regards to the future Batiquitos
Enhancement Proj ect .
