RESOLUTION NO. 88-256
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZI THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENTS TO PARK DRIVE PROJECT NO. 3192, AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE INTERSECTION OE PARK AND MARINA DRIVES, PROJECT NO 3216.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsl
determined it is necessary and in the public inte~
construct both the improvements to Park Drive, Projc
3192, and the intersection improvements to Park and
Drives, Project No. 3216; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the furnishinc
labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, an
expenses necessary or incidental for said projects ha
prepared and are on file in the Municipal Projects Depart
the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad 1
to the provisions of Chapter 27 of the Improvement Act c
have determined it necessary and in the public inte
proceed to construct certain improvements as a portion
pro j ect ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct,
2. That the plans and specifications as presented z
hereby approved.

3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad,
California, is hereby authorized and directed to pro'
publish, in accordance with law, Notice to Contractors j
bids for the construction of the improvements to Park DX
the intersection improvements to Park and Marina Dr.
accordance with the plans and specifications hert
referred to.
4. That an appropriation in the amount of $213, t
the unappropriated balance of the General Capital Cons1
Fund to the Park and Marina Drive Improvement project,
No. 300-820-1840-3216 is hereby authorized and approved.
5. That the Superintendent of Streets is hereby aui
and directed to proceed with installation of imprc
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 27 of the improve^
of 1911 necessitated by this project.
6. That the Director of Finance is hereby authoi
transfer all previously approved project related appropr
expenditures, and encumbrances associated with Project 1
to Account No. 300-820-1840-3216 to enable a merging (
projects for budgetary and project accounting efficiency

7. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad he
declares the construction of said project to be nec
desirable and in the public interest and direct st
proceed in accordance with the intent of this Resolution
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting
Carlsbad City Council held on the 2nd day of August
1988 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Lars
NOES: None
ABSENT : None
