RESOLUTION NO. 88-318
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING OUT-OF-STATE BUSINESS TRAVEL FOR TWO CITY REPRESENTATIVES TO SERVE ON THE GOODWILL DELEGATION TO FUTTSU, JAPAN OCTOBER 23-26, 1988
WHEREAS, the City Council has endorsed the Sister City Program
accepting the City of Futtsu, Japan's invitation to be its sister c'
WHEREAS, the Mayor of Futtsu, Japan has invited a goodwill delc
Futtsu, October 23-26, 1988 to sign ceremonial documents and seal tl
city relationship between the two cities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to have City representatives I:
in the delegation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Carl sbad, California:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Mayor and one staff member, to be designated by t
Manager, are hereby authorized to travel to Futtsu, Japan as part oi
goodwill delegation in October and that the allowance for meals shal
increased to $75 per day for this trip.
3. That the transfer of $2,500 from the City Council Continge
(account number 001-840-1990-2999) to the City Council Travel budget
number 001-840-1010-2940), is hereby approved.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City C
the City of Carlsbad, California held on the 23rd day of August
by the following vote to wit:
