A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SOLICIT PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED CONSULTING CIVIL ENGINEERS TO PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND COST ESTIMATES FOR ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS ON A PORTION OF RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determines it

by the elimination of undesirable roadway geometrics; and 8
desirable and in the public interest to improve a portion of Rancho Sal
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determines it

expediously as possible; and 11
desirable, and in the public interest to initiate said roadway impro
12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad determines it

desirable, and in the public interest to secure the professional ser
roadway improvements; 18
the 1988/89 Capital Improvement Program for design and constructic 17
WHEREAS, funds are available in the General Fund Contingency ac( 16

3. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby autt
directs City staff to prepare Requests for Proposals and/or Ret
Qualifications necessary to secure the professional services of a
Consulting Civil Engineer to prepare plans, specifications and cost esl
said roadway improvements on a portion of Rancho Santa Fe Road.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Car
Council held on the 27th day of September 91
following vote, to wit:
