RESOLUTION NO. 88-370
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS, APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR GRADING AND SAND PLACEMENT WORK ON THE BUENA VISTA LAGOON ISLANDS. PROJECT NO. 3258
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Car
California, has determined it necessary and in the
interest to construct for restoration work on the Buena
Lagoon islands: and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Fish and Ga
its role as trustee for the Buena Vista Lagoon Ecol
Preserve, has developed and approved an island restoration
and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, as the local gove
jurisdiction, has the resources to administer and direc
island restoration work: and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has received fundin
the State for the restoration work: and
WHEREAS, specifications for the furnishing of all
materials, tools, equipment, transportation and other en
necessary or incidental for said project, have been prepar
are on file in the Municipal Projects Department of the C
Carlsbad and are incorporated by reference herein.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That all above recitations are true and correct

2. That the specifications as presented are :
approved.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is 1
authorized and directed to publish, in accordance with
Notice to Contractors inviting bids for the Buena Vista :
islands restoration.
4. That the City Council hereby appropriates $101,
project account no. 180-820-8125-3258 and $22,248 to p
account no. 180-820-8107-3258 from the State grant fun
account with the City.

Carlsbad City Council held the 25th day of October
1988, by the following vote, to wit:
