A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON
THE 8TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1988, DECLARING THE
RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted ir
of Carlsbad, California, on Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 1988, a:

WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and 9
10 provided by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that
officers were appointed; and that in all respects the election was
conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the ret

and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisior
Election’s Code of the State of California for the holding of elel
general law cities; and

15 11 WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council Resolution No. 88-226, adopt1 16 11 12th day of July, 1988, the Board of Supervisors of the County of 17
canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results to
Council, and the results are received, attached and made a part t 18

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the whole number of ballots cast in the City except absl

5. That the measure voted upon at the election is as follows:
PROPOSITION M: Shall Ordinance No. NS-29 be adopted amendin 3.12 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code to increase the transient tax rate by 2% to pay for a qual ity regulation municipal go1 tennis courts and other related facilities?

Ann Kulchin was elected as Member of the City Council for the of four years;
Eric Larson was elected as a Member of the City Council for term of four years;
That as a result of the election, two-thirds of the voters the measure relating to an increase in the transient occupan fund a municipal golf course, tennis courts and other facilities did not vote in favor of it, and that the measur carried, and shall not be deemed adopted and ratified.
