4 OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING COMPENSATION FOR MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF THE SAND DIEGO
5 . SERVICE AUTHORITY FOR FREEWAY EMERGENCIES .

WH-EREAS, pursuant to Section 2551 of the Streets-
Highways Code, the Board of Supervisors of the County.,of
Diega and a majority of the cities within San Diego COLI
having a majority of the 'population adopted resolutj
providing for the establishment of the San Diego Sen
Authority for Freeway Emergencies; and

WHEREAS, the San Diego Service Authority for Free
Emergencies is authorized by Sections 2550 and following
implement, maintaili, and operate a motorist aid system
portions of the California .freeway and expressway sys
located in San Diego County; and

1 Highways Code, the Sari Diego Service Authority for Free
Emergencies has imposed a one dollar per year fee on vehic

maintegance, and operation of a freeway call box system in
Diego County; and ..
WHEREAS, pursuant- to Section 2551.5 of the .Streets
Highways Code, the board of supervisors and the city counc
of the cities in the county may authorize the members of
service authority to receive for each attendance. at meeti -

of the service authority, and for each day any member
engaged in authorized service authority business other t
attendance at meetings of the service authority, the, maxi
sum of one hundred dollars ($loo), but not to exceed f
hundred dollars ($500) in any calendar month, and to
allowed. their actual and necessary expenses incurred in
discharge of their duties; and
'NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
City of Carlsbad, that the members of the San Diego Sen
for Freeway Emergencies Board are authorized to receive
each attendance at meetings of the Service Authority, and
each day any member is engaged in authorized Service Autho~
business other than attendance at meeting of the Sen
Authority, the maximum sum of one hundred dollars ($loo),
not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) in any cale~
month, and be allowed their actual and necessary expel
incurred in the discharge of their duties.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California held on
20th day of December , 1988, by the following vote, to I
