RESOLUTION NO. 89-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF CONSULTANTS TO STUDY THE CITYWIDE MELLO ROOS DISTRICT PROPOSAL AND TRANSFERRING FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it is in the best interes
the City to investigate the forming of a Mello Roos Community Facili
District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed staff to further pursue
concept of forming said district; and
WHEREAS, City staff must now hire consultants to assist I
establishing assessment district boundaries, guidelines, and tax rates;
and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost for said consulting services is $75,000,
WHEREAS, all preliminary costs related to the formation of the distl
will be recovered from the issue of bonds by the district;
~ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Carlsbad, as follows:
I 1. That City staff is authorized to proceed with the investigation
the Community Facilities District concept and the hiring of consultants.

2. That the amount of $75,000 is hereby transferred from the City
Council's Contingency Account to Account 001-840-1310-2479.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Carlsbad City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of January, 1989, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
