RESOLUTION NO. 89-109
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING THE NAME OF GOZO
PLACE TO LAS BRISAS COURT.
APPLICANT: KANE (SNC 88-3)
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, by adoption of
Resolution No. 2809, adopted on the 4th day of January, 1989, recommend the name
change of the street currently known as Gozo Place to Las Brisas Court, as
provided in Council Policy No. 20; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on February 21, 1989,
held a public hearing to consider the recommendations and hear all persons
interested in or opposed to the proposed street name change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
14 A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 B) That the findings of the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 2809
constitute the findings of the City Council in this matter.

C> That said Street Name Change No. 88-3 is hereby approved.

W That the City Clerk is hereby directed to notify all affected public
18 agencies of the change and to record a copy of this Resolution.

3. That the Governor of California be urged to approve
legislation banning the sale, possession and manufacturing of semi-
automatic assault weapons.
4. That without statewide legislation, a citywide ban of the
sale, possession and manufacturing of semi-automatic weapons be
considered by the City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Carl sbad City Council at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 28th day of March , 1989, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Larson, Mamaux and Pettin
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
