RESOLUTION NO. 89-153 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIF 2 APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A TRAFFI SIGNAL SYSTEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AND CERE2 3 DRIVE AND FOR THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THREE STREET LIGHTS ( CARLSBAD BOULEVARD BETWEEN MANZANO DRIVE AND PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAt 4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, Cal iforn 5 determined it necessary and in the public interest to construct a traffic 6 system at the intersection of Carlsbad Boulevard and Cerezo Drive; and 7

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carl sbad, Cal iforn
determined it necessary and in the public interest to construct threc
lights on Carlsbad Boulevard between Manzano Drive and Palomar Airport Rc
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $75,000 are necessary for the des
construction of said traffic signal system and street light system; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $75,000 are necessary to be trar
from the unappropriated fund balance of the General Fund to the General
Construction Fund and appropriated to Account Number 300-840-1840-3333.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of C;
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council authorizes the City Engineer to
proposals from qualified Consulting Civil Engineers for the preparation 01
plans and contract documents for said traffic signal system and stree
system.

3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized and dir
appropriate funds from the General Capital Construction Fund unappropri;
balance (300-890) in the amount of $75,000 to Account Number 300-840-lE
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting. of the Carl s
Counci 1 held on the 16th day of May , 1989 by the following
wit:
