RESOLUTION NO - 8 9 - 2 2 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, ACCEPTINE BIDS AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR TENNIS COURT LIGHTING AT CARLSBAC HIGH SCHOOL TO SATURN ELECTRIC IN THE AMOUNT OF $108,747, ANC
APPROPRIATING $27,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY ACCOUNl

5 /I WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has approved thc

lighting project for the nine (9) Carlsbad High School tennis court:
located on Valley Street and,
WHEREAS, funds have been received by the City of Carlsbad from thc
State of California 1986 Park Bond Act to partially finance this project

and
WHEREAS, necessary additional funds are available in the General
Fund Contingency Account #001-840-1990-2999, and
WHEREAS, plans, specifications, contract documents and authorizatior
to advertise for bids for tennis court lighting at Carlsbad High School
have previously been approved and,
WHEREAS, bids for this project have been received and evaluated to
determine which bid will represent the City’s best interest;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of 18

Carl sbad , as fol 1 ows :
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
21 I1 2. That Saturn Electric represents the City’s best interest for the
a I1 lighting of tennis courts at Carlsbad High School.
23 11 3. The award for this project completion shall be awarded to Saturr

Electric in the amount of $108,747.
4. A transfer of funds in the amount of $27,000 from the General
26 // Fund Contingency Account #001-840-1990-2999, has been authorized.

5. A transfer of funds in the amount of $7,008 from the Valley
Junior High Resurfacing Account #180-820-8132-3311 to this project is
hereby authorized.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Counci 1 held on the 11th day of July , 1989, by the
following vote, to wit:
