HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-09-26; City Council; Resolution 89-342.i 0 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 89-342 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN EXTENSION TO AN EXISTING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND TEKMARINE, INCORPORATED FOR THE CARLSBAD SAND SURVEY AND PROFILE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbz previously awarded a consultant agreement with Tekmi Incorporated on August 18, 1987 resuming the Carlsbad Sand ! and Beach Profile Program: and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad 1 finds it necessary, desirable and in the public interesi continue said program during fiscal year 1989-90: and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbz previously budgeted and appropriated sufficient funding fo~ program in its 1989-90 fiscal budget; and, WHEREAS, section 3 of said agreement enables the C renegotiate annual contract extensions with Tekmarine, Incorpc to continue the services provided for in this agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the above recitations are true and corrr 2. I ... e e TEK'WfARRrnk -4r RECEIVED JUN 0 9 1989 June 8, 1989 Ref: E-501 Mr. John Cahill Citv of Carlsbad MUNICIPAL PROJECTS DIVISION, 2075 Las Palmas Drive Carlsbad, CA 92009-4859 Subject: Carlsbad Sand Survey and Beach Profile Program Dear John: In response to your letter of June 2, 1989, I am pleased t hereby submit our proposal to continue the subject progra through FY 1989-90. Our proposal is based on the assumption that the program will b continued using the current range lines and survey/reporting fre quencies as presently contracted. All other elements of ou existing contract in regards to Dr. Sonu's bi-monthly visits number of copies of reports, Dr. Sonu's attendance at Committe meetings following the submission of the April and October surve results, etc., shall remain the same with the following excep tion. We propose to continue bi-monthly reconnaissance trips bu would like to aiternate this task among various Tekmarine person nel, including Dr. Sonu, in order to intimately acquaint other with the Carlsbad shoreline. We believe this arrangement will b mutually benefical to Tekmarine and the City of Carlsbad in th long run. We propose to accomplish the FY 1989-90 survey program for a fe of $21,256. This amount represents a slight increase over the F 1988-89 program due to a cost of living increase in employe salaries. Consulting services in addition to the foregoing shal be charged in accordance with the attached standard conditions o engagement.
