RESOLUTION NO. 89-382
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVIYG
THE PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING WEAR. -
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad wishes to join with
various County agencies in the purchase of firefighting
wear: and
WHEREAS, bid proposals were solicited from ten
vendors and were judged against known criteria; and
WHEREAS, it is advantageous to the City to order
the f iref ighting wear through the means of an annual bid.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the above facts are true and correct.
2. That the bids for turnout coats, turnout pants,
PBI Hoods with drapes and Nomex Hoods with drapes, as
shown on Exhibit rrArv, be awarded to L.N. Curtis & Sons,
1800 Peralta St., Oakland CA 94607.
3. That the bids for wildland brush gear and
structural boots, as shown on Exhibit IrAIr, be awarded to
Pacific Safety Equipment Co., 1163 Knollwood Circle,
Anaheim CA 92801.
4. That the bids for gloves and goggles, as shown
on Exhibit IrA11, be awarded to San Diego Fire Equipment
Co. Inc., 266 Eleventh Ave., San Diego CA 92101.

6. That Purchase Orders to the above named vendors
shall be executed by the Purchasing Officer as the needs
arise.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting
of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the
7th day of November, 1989, by the following vote, to wit:
