RESOLUTION NO. 90-69
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURSUE TRANSPORTATION
DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDING FROM SANDAG FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF BICYCLE LANES ON TAMARACK AVENUE.

12 and Jefferson Street will include bicycle lanes; and
13 WHEREAS, funds have been established and are available through SANDAC
14 governments for construction of bicycle lanes;
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has designated Tamarack Avenue as a bicycle rc
Circulation Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has solicited j
projects for the five-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Tamarack Avenue has been included on the five-year Regional Tran
Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the widening of 0.50 miles of the Tamarack Avenue between Carlsbad

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, (
I? II 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
I* I1 2. That City Council of the City of Carlsbad authorizes the submittal of an a

3. The Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad is hereby autho
empowered to execute in the name of the City of Carlsbad all necessary applications to i
and carry out the purposes specified in this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Co
on the 20th day of March , 1990 by the following vote, to wit:
