A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

PLAN FOR COUNCIL APPOINTED OFFICIALS AND PROVIDING

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA7 ADOPTING A COMPENSATION
AN AUTO ALLOWANCE FOR THE FINANCE DIRECTOR.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to make adjustments in
auto a1 1 owance for the Finance Director; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to make adjustments in // compensation for Council appointed officials. 8 /I NOW, THEREFORE7 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of the City 9

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That an auto a1 lowance for the Finance Director shall be se
$250 per month.
3. That the salary for City Council appointed officials effect 14

January 1, 1990, shall be as follows:
City Manager $3,869 biweekly
City Attorney $3,752 biweekly
4. City Council appointed officials shall receive the benefits
the Management Compensation Plan, except:
a. Section H shall not apply. Separation of the City Mana
and City Attorney is controlled by Municipal Code Chapters 2.12 and 2.1
respectively as modified for the City Manager by his employment agreeme
b. The City Attorney shall be authorized to receive an amo
per month equal to the subsidy for management employee plus two depende
lieu of coverage under the City's health and medical insurance plan pro

5. The City Manager shall receive a car a1 1 owance of $250 per I

The City Attorney shall receive a car a1 lowance of $225 per month.
6. The City Attorney shall receive a salary of $100 per month
work as general counsel for the Housing and Redevelopment Commission.

work as Executive Director for the Housing and Redevelopment Commission
8. That an annual review of performance and salary for the Cit
Manager and City Attorney will be conducted by the City Council.
1 9. This Resolution shall continue in effect until modified by 9

City Council.
10. That the amount of $1,500 is hereby transferred from the Ge
I’ 11 Fund Contingency Account to the Finance Director Auto Allowance Account

11. That the amount of $8,416 is hereby appropriated from the G
Fund Contingency Account to the City Manager’s and City Attorney’s budg
l41/ be distributed as required by the Finance Director to cover appointed
l5 11 officials’ compensation adjustments.
