A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC
INTEREST, CONVENIENCE, AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
ISSUANCE OF A CERTIFICATE TO AMIGO CAB COMPANY OF
ENCINITAS, INC., TO OPERATE TWO TAXICABS IN THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD AND ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO
ISSUE SAID CERTIFICATE SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS
WHEREAS, Amigo Cab Company of Encinitas, Inc., in accordance wit

20 3. That said certificate is hereby issued to Amigo Cab Company (
21 Encinitas, Inc., subject to the following terms and conditions:
22 (a) The certificate permits service throughout the City ( Carl sbad.
23 (b) Two taxicab vehicles are authorized.
24 (c) The schedule of fares to be charged shall be:$1.40 for tt
25 first 1/11 mile and $.15 each additional 1/11 mile thereafter. $12.00 pt
hour for waiting time/traffic delay. No surcharge for out of area servic
26 and no charges for extra luggage or passengers.
27 (d) The certificate and the operation of taxi service pursuar thereto shall be subject to all of the provisions of Chapter 5.20 of tt
28 Municipal Code.

(e) The certificate is issued to commence on the date of adoption of this Resolution.
(f) Applicant’s application form which is on file in the Officc of the Finance Director, shall be made a part of this certificate, and i5 incorporated by reference herein.
(9) The City shall have the right to inspect a1 1 vehicles a1 any time to insure they are maintained in safe operation condition.
(h) Applicant may only use the vehicles listed on his application.
(i) Applicant shall file certification of insurance in the amounts of $100,000/300,000 with the Risk Manager prior to commencing service pursuant to this certificate.
(j) No taxi stands are permitted.
4. That the City Clerk Is hereby directed to issue a copy of this
Resolution as a certificate in accordance with Chapter 5.20 of the
Carl s bad Muni ci pal code.
1311 5. That the certificate shall not be issued until the application

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad
City Council held on the 27th day of March , 1990.
