RESOLUTION NO. 90-153
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
A REFORMATTED VERSION OF THE EXISTING
GENERAL PLAN, COMMENDING THE PLANNING
COMMISSION GENERAL PLAN SUBCOMMITTEE FOR
ITS EFFORTS, DIRECTING STAFF TO PROCEED WITH A COMPREHENSIVE UPDATE OF THE EXISTING
GENERAL PLAN AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO
SOLICIT PROPOSAL FROM CONSULTING FIRMS TO
ASSIST STAFF IN THE COMPREHENSIVE UPDATE.
7 /I WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of carlsh

Reformat the existing General Plan; and 9
California appointed a Planning Commission Subcommittee
10 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission Subcommittee has complc
11 its task and has forwarded the results of it's task to the (
12 Council for acceptance; and
13 j/ WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to formally commend
14 /I Planning Commission Subcommittee for its efforts; and
15 ll WHEREAS, the existing General Plan is legally adequate
16 meets all state law requirements for content but needs to

19 from 1990 to a future, specified date; and

21 comprehensively update the existing General Plan utilizing
22 reformatted version of the General Plan prepared by the Planr
23 Commission Subcommittee as a working, resource document to st
24 the General Plan update.
