RESOLUTION NO. 90-248
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING
DONATIONS: $2500 FROM HERRICK CORPORATION,
$2500 FROM HOEHN MOTORS, $2500 FROM
FIELDSTONE COMPANY, $2000 FROM OLIVE GARDEN,
$1500 FROM MARK STEIN BEVERAGE CO. IN SUPPORT
OF THE TRIATHLON, AND $1000 FROM MARK STEIN
BEWXWGE CO. IN SUPPORT OF THE BODY SURFING
AND BOOGIE BOARD CONTEST
WHEREAS the Herrick Corporation has donated twenty five hundred ($21

dollars to the City of Carlsbad in support of the Carlsbad Triathlon, and
12 /I WHEREAS Hoehn Motors has donated twenty five hundred ($2500) dolla

WHEREAS the Fieldstone Company has donated twenty five hundred ($21

($1000) dollars to the City of Carlsbad in support of the Carlsbad Body Surfing

Boogie Board Contests, and
WHEREAS the Parks and Recreation Commission has received this donatior
recommends acceptance by the City Council, and

WHEREAS the City Council acknowledges the generosity of the He
Corporation, Hoehn Motors, the Fieldstone Company, the Olive Garden, and the 1
Stein Beverage Company,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cil
Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the City Council accepts a total donation of eleven thou
($1 1,000) dollars in support of the Carlsbad Triathlon.
2. That the City Council accepts the donation of one thousand ($1
dollars in support of the Carlsbad Body Surfing and Boogie E
Contests.
3. $11,000 funds will be deposited into the Triathlon Trust (Account #
519-92-14-000), and $1,000 funds will be deposited into Recre,
Special Events (Account #880-519-9210-0000).
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Co
of the City of Carlsbad held on the 24th day of July , 1990, by the follo
vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Lars0
