A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING FOR A PASSIVEIACTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF A PORTION OF HOSP GROVE.
5 11 WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted t

California Wildlife, Coastal and Parkland Conservation Act of 1988, whi
provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions f
8 /I devel oping faci 1 i ti es for pub1 i c recreational and open space purposes; a

WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Par
and Recreation require the appl i cant to certify by resol ution the approb
of application before submission of said application to the State; and
WHEREAS, said application contains assurances that the applicant mi
comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State
151iCalifornia for acquisition or development of the project;
l6 /1 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Carl sbad hereby:

1. Approves the filing of an application for the Per Capita Gri
Program under the California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park]; Conservation Act of 1988, State grant assistance for the ab(
project; and
2o ll 2. Certifies that said applicant understands the assurances i certification in the application form; and

3. Certifies that said applicant has or will have sufficient ful to operate and maintain the project; and
4. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City of Carl sbad
conduct a1 1 negotiations, execute and submit a1 1 docume
including, but not 1 imited to appl ications, agreemen
amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be necess
for the completion of the aforementioned projects.
