A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OF PIETI V. 'CITY OF CARLSBAD CARLSBAD,. CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE SETTLEMENT
3 WHEREAS, on recommendation of special counsel the City

approve a settlement in the case entitled Pieti v. Carlsbad, et al. , !5
Council of the City. of Carlsbad, California has determined to

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Mayor is authorized to sign the Settlement
Agreement and General Release which is hereby approved.
3. That the Finance Director is authorized to transfer
$75,000 from the liability self-insurance account and $65,000 from
the contingency fund account into the Human Resources salary account
to, fund this agreement.
