RESOLUTION NO. 91-173
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO CALTRANS FOR STATE-LOCAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM FUNDS FOR CERTAIN ARTERIAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND TO WITHDRAW CANNON ROAD FROM THE CURRENT YEAR PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends and the City Coun
concurs that the City Engineer be authorized to make application
CALTRANS for State-Local Partnership Program funding for cert
arterial street improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends and the City Coun
concurs that the City Engineer be authorized to withdraw the Can
Road applications previously made to CALTRANS.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the C
of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2, That the City Council authorizes the City Engineer
make applications to CALTRANS for State-Local Partnership Prog
funding for the following arterial street improvements:
a. Palomar Airport Road from El Camino Real to Busin
Park Drive.
b. Palomar Airport Road and El Camino R
Intersection.
c.
d. Tamarack Avenue: Carlsbad Boulevard to Jeffer
Palomar Airport Road/Interstate 5 Interchange.
Street.
e. El Camino Real: Palomar Airport Road to Fara
Avenue.

3. That the City Council authorizes the City Engineer
withdraw applications for the following arterial str
improvements:
a. Cannon Road - Reaches 1 & 2: from Paseo del No
to El Camino Real.
b. Cannon Road - Reaches 3 & 4: from El Camino Real
east city limits.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
I 19 Carlsbad City Council held on the llth day of June
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Council Members Lewis, Larson, and Nygaard
NOES : None
ABSENT : Council Membe
